July #NaBloPoMo – Friend Connections

Write about the last time you connected with a friend.

I actually connect with friends on a daily basis, but on June 26th a friend of mine who’ve I only really spoke in passing on Facebook gave me her c mobile phone number so we’ve texted back and forth crazy-ass memories from growing up.

She even sent me a picture that is well over 11 years old.

To save myself the eternal embarrassment (Since you know nothing dies on the Internet.) I’m just going to leave it in my phone.

Let’s just say, 8th grade, long permed hair.

2002. Well hey, the year I started blogging!

A year later, I would lose my grandfather, and things would start slipping…

This is why I don’t try to think about my past much, and try to keep the things and people there.

But unfortunately, the people can crop up again no matter how much you don’t want them to.

I’m not saying my friend cropping up is a bad thing, because I am enjoying talking to her again, but as everything goes it’s like a domino effect and MORE people I DON’T really want to talk to will eventually crop up…

  1. Thank you for sharing with NaBloPoMo. I have some friendships like that, it brings a domino. And bad permed hair, too. 🙂
