I’m actually quite pleased with myself that I happened to get out the first post of NaBloPoMo. I’m actually cheating a bit by scheduling prompts on their specific days according to the prompt list but hey, at least I’m getting it done and making an effort! Usually I’ll get like a sentence of a new blog post down and then say to myself, “Fuck this bullshit..” and then promptly close the browser window. I’ll attempt to write at another time, and the same thing tends to happen.

This is why I don’t have blog consistency, and that’s fine with me. I’m not in this to have an audience or to make a profit. It’s more for when later on down the road I’m like, “Look at all the stuff I did this year!!” because I certainly won’t remember this exact post two weeks from now.

I’ve been horribly ill for a week now. Hacking up a lung, leaky faucet nose, nosebleed [due to the dry air. Must dig up the humidifier and turn my bedroom into the Amazon.] sore throat AND FINALLY, the voice of Gollum. Which is a little freaky, but hilarious at the same time.

I’m now racing against the clock because my laptop only has an hour and change of battery left and the wall outlets are currently occupied with other chargers. Yipe.

My nephew turns seven years old tomorrow. I feel old as hell. I remember when I graduated from High School and then he was born two months later. It’s actually quite scary how fast time is just flying by. Thankfully I am taking the time when I can to enjoy it.

My mom also accepted employment at Kohl’s. Seasonal retail hell, but hey, it’s a job! If all goes well and they like her/she likes them, there’s another seasonal wave in the spring that she can take on. Extra bonus points is if my disability case doesn’t end up panning out, there’s clear space for me to squeeze in there doing light work like putting things away or bagging peoples’ things. We’ll see how it goes.
