[Review] Graze nibblebox

2014-07-16 15.08.31

Earlier this month I got the opportunity to try the Graze snacks subscription service via a fellow blogger’s referral code to get your first box free. I figured why the heck not! Previously I had tried [and reviewed] Naturebox, but the pricetag was a bit too steep for my budget.

Graze’s service charges you per box at $6 with shipping included and you can have the boxes sent regularly or have them sent when you just want to order a one-off box. Each box has four different snacks and when you sign up, you can rate the different snacks to have ones you might like to try sent to you and trash ones that you wouldn’t. I trashed a lot of the coconut-containing snacks as I’m allergic.

The snacks have a lot of different allergy flags such as nuts, dairy and wheat to name a few. You can trash the snacks that you are allergic to, but it may limit your choices as you go down the list if you are allergic to a lot of things.

Currently, Graze boxes can only be shipped to US addresses, including P.O. Boxes, within the lower 48 states. Graze does not ship to Hawaii, Alaska, APO, FPO, or US Territory addresses. [Yet!]

If you would like to get your first and fifth grazebox for the low low price of free [new subscribers only!] just use the promotion/invitation code SARAH33HP

All of Graze’s packaging is completely recyclable, so if you have the proper facilities to do so, please recycle your grazebox!

In my first box I received:

  1. Smoky chipotle dip with rosemary bread sticks: smoky chipotle relish with rosemary bread sticks
  2. Fruit & seed flapjacks: rustic rolled oat flapjacks with mixed seeds and dried fruits
  3. Scrumptious Blueberry Swirl: blueberry yogurt raisins, raspberry infused cranberries and blackcurrant
  4. Salted Fudge & Peanut Cookie: baked salted peanuts, fudge pieces, mini chocolate cookies and redskin peanuts

Smoky Chipotle Dip with Rosemary Breadsticks

This went right into the trash after one bite… It wasn’t spicy or anything, it was just….gross. I did not like it at all.

Verdict: Trash

Fruit and Seed flapjacks

These were more of mini granola bars and not what I would consider a flapjacks [pancakes!]. I feel it would be a lot better if it was just fruit mixed with the oats, the seeds were kind of odd and didn’t really fit in. They’re not gross enough to be trashed completely, but they’re definitely something I wouldn’t want to have in my box all the time.

Verdict: Like

 Scrumptious Blueberry Swirl

I’ve never had black currants before, but I’m not sure if it’s because they were dried that they didn’t really taste like anything. I did like the cranberries and if I could get the blueberry yogurt raisins by the bag I’d be in heaven. Those raisins were the definite show stealer of this snack pack in my opinion.

Verdict: Like, BUT will have to Trash after discovering the yogurt drops may contain coconut oil

Salted Fudge Peanut Cookie

THIS WAS AMAZING. It was absolutely my most favorite thing out of the entire box. It combines a lot of things that I like [peanuts, fudge, and chocolate cookies.] into one pack and they actually mashed up really well. I snarfed this down and found myself looking for more. Especially the chocolate cookie and vanilla fudge pieces.

Verdict: LOVE

NOTE: I was not asked to write nor compensated for this review. The review & thoughts are all my own. Blah blah blah, disclosures. Keeping myself out of legal trouble and shiz.
