JORDANDENÉ is owned and operated by Jordan Ellis. The shop specializes in geeky goodness in the form of apparel, aprons and accessories. Jordan covers a variety of fandoms such as Sherlock, Game of Thrones and even has a dash of Harry Potter and Doctor Who! Jordan’s business is located in Brooklyn, New York.

The JORDANDENÉ  website itself is easy and user-friendly to get around, my only gripe [and I’m not sure if it’s because I’m using Chrome…] is that when you have things in your cart, it covers up the navigation on the top right and you cannot move it out the way.

She recently reached out to the Female Geek Bloggers G+ group for some reviews and/or giveaways and I decided to throw my interest in the ring! Jordan was professional and quick in our email exchange.

I asked for the “Not all who wander are lost” tank and the 221B boyshorts. Both items are American  Apparel items screen printed with water-based inks. All items include size charts and it is recommended to order one size up because the items tend to run small. Machine wash in cold water and toss in the dryer on low. I do not put any of my shirts in the dryer and prefer to hang them up to dry to prevent shrinkage of the garment or any damage to the printing.

Jordan packed up everything neatly and shipped it on the 23rd and I received it the next day. I have personal experience with shipping to and from New York so it doesn’t take all that long. ;P

There was a few extras included in the package which were a “Hello Sweetie” postcard [which is from Doctor Who, I think?] and an insert to post your goods on Instagram which I had done. 😀 I think my favorite thing out of the extras was the business card, not only is it another one for my collection, it is now the most different one I’ve come across. It’s a screen printed business card on a bit of fabric. I thought that was pretty darn cool!

I ordered the tank in Small and it was a bit baggy which was OK with me since I don’t really like wearing things that are clingy to my form. It drives me absolutely insane. So if you like things to be a bit snug to your body, you MIGHT want to order a size down. I initially was going to order a Medium but then realized that they are unisex tanks and Medium would’ve been WAY too big.

Here’s the selfie that’s on Instagram in its un-squared glory. TERRIBLE FACETIME CAMERA FOR THE LOSE.

The undies I got in a Medium and they fit perfectly. I normally wear a 6 in undies and the undies on JORDANDENÉ  range 4-6 so I was cutting it a bit close. There was no problems with the crotch liner and it was stitched to where it was supposed to be. I’ve had problems with crotch liners being weird in the past.

Overall I am very pleased with my purchase and give JORDANDENÉ a very enthusiastic 5 out of 5 paws up!

Chico Resch Night – New Jersey Devils vs Dallas Stars [10/24/14]

2014-10-24 18.51.56

This post is largely going to be like my previous game post, but sadly, we didn’t win this time around. That’s okay though. Regular season just started and there’s a lot of hockey still to be played.

It was still really exciting to be there because Chico Resch, a long-time Devils broadcaster [and player! :D] was retiring and it was awesome to share that with him. I’m kinda sad I missed out on the reunion of Chico and Doc calling the game on the TV broadcast [because I was there, obviously.] but I plan to rewatch the game so I can see that.

It was really cool to see the new 3D projector thingie they got. It’s definitely a lot better in person as I’ve seen a lot of people complain on how “underwhelming” and “stupid” it is.

2014-10-24 18.36.58

We also got to the arena early enough to explore things and watch the team practice. It was really cool to be that close to the ice! [but you gotta watch out for flying pucks!]

I got lots more photos over here, just didn’t want to make this post ridiculously photo heavy.

[Sailor Moon Crystal] Episode 8

Screenshot 2014-10-18 08.50.02

After two snorefest episodes, Sailor Moon Crystal comes back to smack you in the face with the awesomeness that was present in other ones. As a fan, I am allowed to dislike episodes. I am allowed to voice my displeasure. If I say I dislike something, I’m not getting swayed. Unless if it’s in the case of Homestuck where I based my opinion of it off the rotten apples of the fandom. [EVERY FANDOM HAS THEM, DON’T EVEN FUCKING GO THERE. DON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT EXCUSING THEIR SHITTY BEHAVIOR.] I have since learned that you cannot do that. Experience something for yourself before you form an opinion of it. As such, I now enjoy the damn comic, but we’re not about Homestuck now…

TL;DR: I can hate episodes, do not defend the episode. I’m still going to hate it. Got it? Good.

If this is the first time you’re actually tuning in to Sailor Moon, I’d recommend you to pass this blog post by because I’m about to drop a giant truth bomb that involves some of the characters. Don’t like spoilers? RUN. THE. FUCK. AWAY. NOW. But in the same vein, if you watched the episode, you MAY be able to put two and two together by some of the dialog exchanged.

And just as aside, if you noticed, I don’t screen cap the entire episode. I leave a huge chunk of it out. Because I want people to actually watch the episode rather me doing all the work for you. :PP

Hate to break it to you QB, but there’s a lot more. Unfortunately, you won’t be around to see those.

Truth bomb time: No she’s not.

Cue Usagi’s “OH NO, SHE’S HOT.” moment. If you don’t support Bisexual Usagi, please get off my blog. Kidding, really. Everybody’s allowed to have their own opinions of a character. [SO MUCH ABOUT OPINIONS TODAY, KITTY!]

But Artie saves the day and says that you in fact, did not fail. Now let’s frick and create Diana.

Too much of a spoiler? Oh well.

Until next time!!

[UNBOXING] Love With Food October 2014

OH HEY. It’s an unboxing video! I figured I would jump on the bandwagon and record my own unboxing videos now. They seemed like to be a ton of fun. [and it honestly was!] I was a little nervous though because I hardly post public YouTube videos, but I figured what the hell! Let’s have fun with it.

For this unboxing video, I tore into the Love With Food October 2014 “Monster Mash” box and overall, I am happy with the selection. The lowdown with Love with Food is that it’s a snack subscription box that gives back! For every box you receive, a meal gets donated to a needy child. You can learn more about the company’s goal here.

Love With Food snacks are free of all the “crap” [high fructose corn syrup, GMOs, artificial colors/flavors, etc.] and there’s also a Gluten-Free box available for those with allergy or sensitivity to gluten.

You can learn about the different boxes here.

I received a free Tasting Box from Arielle‘s referral link and the Tasting Box gives you about 8 snacks to try for $10 a month [plus $2 shipping in some areas.] One meal will go to a child. The bigger Deluxe box gives you more snacks and two meals are donated to a child.

If you don’t have time / don’t feel like listening / watching me make a complete arse of myself, here’s the box in photographic glory:

My @lovewithfood box is here! Can't wait to crack it open. Stay tuned. Unboxing video tomorrow! #lovewithfood
